Shopping

Cannes, Nice, Monaco & St Tropez on the Mediterranean coast are all within easy driving distance, spend time in the designer shops and restaurants, watch the summer evening fireworks on the Cannes seafront.

Seillans village offers a bakery, butcher, pharmacy, post office and a small supermarket.

Fayence with its large supermarket and many more shops is a 10 minute drive away.


Markets

Provençe is justly famous for its produce and there are markets selling fresh fruit and vegetables everywhere, all within a short drive.


Food and Wine

There are 2 excellent restaurants within 2 minutes of the Villa and there are dozens more to choose from in all the surrounding towns and villages. There are 2 vineyards close by who are happy to let you sample their wines, the reds are good and the rosés excellent.


Walking and Hiking

The local area is mostly protected forest criss-crossed with walking trails
from 1 hour easy walks to day long hikes in the surrounding hills and lakes.
Detailed walking maps are available from the Tourist Office in the village next to the villa.


Sports

Seillans has a swimming pool with lifeguard and tennis courts.

The Lac St Cassian is a 20 minute drive away. No powerboats are allowed, and there are several small beaches where you can sail, rent canoes and pedalos, windsurf or just walk. There is also a wide choice of restaurants and cafes by the lake.

The Gorge de Verdon is Europe’s Grand Canyon. A 90 minute drive from Seillans through the beautiful countryside of Provençe. The canyon is truly spectacular. Canoes and pedalos are available to rent. Hang gliding, rock climbing and even a 182m (600’) bungy jump from the bridge for the particularly brave.

Terre Blanche offers the new Dave Thomas designed 36 hole championship courses a 20 minute drive away There are also 4 other courses in the vicinity.

Gliding 15 minutes away at Fayence offers some of the best soaring in Europe.

Horseback riding is available nearby and is a perfect way to explore the local hills and lakes.
